CESAR CHAVEZ FOUNDATION

More than 50 years ago, the pioneering work of civil rights activist Cesar Chavez sparked a movement that would profoundly impact communities. His advocacy for the rights of farmworkers, Latinos, and working people led to the establishment of numerous programs, such as a burial program, credit unions, and cooperative gas stations. These initiatives were designed to empower communities and support working families, a legacy that the Cesar Chavez Foundation continues to uphold.

Today, the Cesar Chavez Foundation stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Cesar Chavez. It has evolved into a dynamic network of social enterprises that actively support working families. By inspiring and transforming communities across the Southwest, from rural to urban areas, the Foundation is making a tangible difference in the lives of people from diverse generations. With more than 600 employees across six states, the Cesar Chavez Foundation provides services to over one million people in the following areas:

The Housing & Economic Development Fund
